No Shoes Nation Baby!

My friend Megan and I spent this past Saturday at the Kenny Chesney concert at Angel Stadium in Anaheim! His No Shoes Nation tour also featured Kacey Musgraves, Eli Young Band, and none other than ERIC CHURCH. Seriously, this guy almost stole the show away. I think I may need to get a hold of this shirt.

He’s quite the badass! I mean he pounded 2 beers at once on stage!

With my girl! So glad she was able to come. Not many of my friends like country and this girl knew every lyric.

Next country concert I’m thinking of doing the whole tailgating shabang, but definitely with plans for a hotel after! The experience was so fun but exhausting! Think about it. We left for the concert around 2:30pm, bought some snacks and drinks (hint hint), drove through traffic, parked at the stadium at 5, Kacey started around 5, then came Eli Young Band, then my love Eric. Kenny came on at 8 and it all ended around 11. We got food after, along with everyone else. Didn’t get home till 1am. I managed to post the necessary Instagram posts before I fell asleep. I had absolutely no data service at the stadium! I woke up the next day at 1:20pm. You could say I’m well rested now.

Here’s a video I took of my favorite song of the night!

When I think about you
I think about 17
I think about my old Jeep
I think about the stars in the sky
Funny how a melody sounds like a memory
Like a soundtrack to a July Saturday night
Springsteen

Life Update

life update blog post

Boy has it been a while! Since my last post, I’ve been working hard at my new job! It’s in the same fashion e-commerce field as my previous job. I really like it so far. I think it has great potential to move up and pursue my ultimate dream of becoming a fashion buyer. I’m working my butt off to get there! My co-workers are very nice, chill, and around my age. I feel like the majority of the company is very young. A lot of young postgrads, which is great!

It’s been a bit rough re-adjusting to the full-time job lifestyle. I had a 2 month break between my previous job and my new job. By break I mean job hunting like a madwoman while also living it up like I’m on vacation. Not an easy task. Now I’m back to waking up early, fighting traffic, and staying in every night. I’m so tired during the week that I barely have enough time and energy to anything beyond going to the gym, eating dinner, and watching some TV. Ah the working life.

The above photos are what I wore to the Lookbook.nu & Rebecca Minkoff Denim Launch Party at Confederacy LA on July 10th. Gotta love the grimey streets of Hollywood! Wearing my all-time favorite leather jacket from Zara, oxblood jeans from LF, and my go-to black platform heels from Steve Madden. These heels are the most comfortable ones that I’ve ever owned!

Onto the weekend! Follow me on Twitter and Instagram for my adventures around LA.
